Calendula is a native plant of the Mediterranean region and quite popular in gardens and fields.

Its flowers range from yellow to bright orange and its leaves are large and narrow at the base, wider and rounded at the top.

Calendula was used in ancient Greek, Roman, Arab and Indian cultures as a healing herb, but also as an ingredient in foods, cosmetics and even fabrics.

To prepare it as an infusion, pour a teaspoon of herb into a cup of hot water, cover and leave for 10 minutes, strain and drink.

Leonurus, also known as “motherwort,” is a medicinal herb that has traditionally been used in herbal medicine.

It is a perennial plant belonging to the mint family and has characteristic serrated leaves and small pink or purple flowers.

It is consumed as a tea made from the plant’s dried leaves and flowers. To prepare it, add 1–2 teaspoons of dried leonurus to 1 cup of hot water (not boiling).

Cover it and let it steep for about 10–15 minutes. Strain it, and it is ready to drink.
