The inherent is a perennial grass, whose root, after several years, it becomes dark brown to black outer, inner and yellowish sticky, while the leaves are rough, with vigorous bayonet rib and flowers purple in bell shape. Its Latin name is Tussilago farfara which means cough suppressant and we find it with the names camolefki, vetchio, behani, glucomana, tusilago.
It is a perennial plant that has a thick rhizome, from which hairy flower shoots with yellow flowers emerge in spring.
The yellow color of the flowers is due to the xanthophyll contained in them.
It is prepared as an infusion. Pour a cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried flowers or leaves and leave for 10 minutes.
Drink the drink up to three times a day as hot as possible.
